
Lanae is the heart and soul behind the gallery, creating the initial vision and bringing together our community of artists. She curates the monthly shows and visits artists' studios to provide the them with the guidance they need in creating successful portfolios that are unified, concise, and marketable.
She directs the marketing at La Familia and tenaciously pursues knowledge to enrich the creative community through awareness and correspondence. She drives those around her towards success by way of creativity.
A talented artist herself, Lanae is renowned for her figure studies and exploration of the human bond. She is also the author of the acclaimed novel, “Chasing Tales,” which wraps the reader into a tale of wanderlust and self-exploration. The novel will be released in the gallery in August, and Lanae will be embarking on a rigorous book tour doing readings throughout Seattle and beyond. Rebeqa has performed at several local venues including Trinity Nightclub, Ibiza Dinner Club, Richard Hugo House, and our very own La Familia Gallery. In addition, she was the featured soloist for Neodandi Fashion House for its seasonal runway shows.
She is currently teaming with Contact Create’s Larry “Bubba” Sims to produce a genre-melding album rich with diversity and passion. Rebeqa is preparing to perform a cutting-edge operatic electronic show in nightclubs across the West Coast and is also collaborating on a local cabaret show.
